Frequently Asked Questions
What is a straight supply stop valve used for?
A straight supply stop valve controls water flow to an individual plumbing fixture such as a sink, toilet, or appliance. It allows maintenance or fixture replacement without shutting off water to the entire building.
What does 1/2 inch PEX × 3/8 inch compression mean?
The valve connects a 1/2-inch PEX water supply line to a 3/8-inch compression outlet. The compression outlet is designed to connect to standard braided fixture supply hoses.
Is this valve compatible with PEX-A tubing?
Yes. The valve is compatible with PEX-A tubing when installed using ASTM F1807 crimp rings or ASTM F2098 clamp rings. It is not compatible with ASTM F1960 cold expansion systems.
Is this a straight stop or an angle stop valve?
This is a straight supply stop valve. The inlet and outlet run in a straight line and it is typically used when the supply pipe comes up vertically from the floor.
Can this valve be used with PEX-B or PEX-C tubing?
Yes. The 1/2-inch PEX inlet can connect to PEX-B or PEX-C tubing using the correct crimp or clamp installation method.
What type of fixture supply line connects to the 3/8 inch compression outlet?
