2025 Hyundai Elantra N owners, please note we have received feedback from customers that this intake "may" produce a fault for crankcase ventilation. We have spoken to a number of owners, it seems to be hit or miss. We are working on getting our hands on a 2025MY Elantra N to figure out what is causing this fault. At this time we are just notifying you that this is a possibility. With our tuning services we can remove this fault. However we are trying to determine the mechanical reason (if one, it's possible the settings in the ECU are more sensitive, and the bigger flowing intake will change the ventilation system given it is hooked up to the intake, we do not yet have a 2025MY file to check)
Newly updated as of July 2024 (possibly earlier) the new intake tube mounts to the cylinder head cover. This means the intake with silicone coupler moves with the engine, this prevents damage to the inlet elbow from the intake being stationary and the engine moving while under torque. The intake has also been redesigned to avoid contact with the hood of car. Our project Veloster N runs this setup without worry of the elbow collapsing under high boost.

Product Description
Forge Motorsport are excited to release our industry leading intake for the Hyundai i30N, Veloster N, Kona N, Elantra N. This aftermarket cold air intake system improves your N’s airflow in several key ways. It routes the air more directly into your engine, using a huge 102 mm diameter CNC mandrel bent alloy pipe. The aftermarket system also improves the airflow by adding a high-flow, high efficiency air filter in place of the more restrictive factory air filter. Finally, the cold air intake system is set up to allow cooler air to easily flow into your engine
The intake diameters on these air intakes have been carefully tuned to provide exactly the correct quantity of air ensuring solid consistent power gains throughout the rev range without any loss of low-end torque. The pipework is specifically designed to feed the turbo without interruption. The upshot to all of this is a gain of induction acoustics under acceleration, which improves the driving experience and adds a bit more drama to the Hyundai’s 2.0 four pot engine.
As always filtration is important when developing an intake, so we once again turned to the industry leaders and Forge long term filtration partners Pipercross.
With over 25 years’ experience in both the domestic and motorsport market they recommended a multi-layer foam construction filter, these filters work perfectly in our ‘Hi-Flow’ range. The large filter provided flows 60% more air than the stock filter.
The intake is finished off with our unique black thermal powder coating. This kit comes with Forge’s usual detailed fitting guide to help make installation as easy as possible.
Hyundai boast figures of 275bhp and 278lb.ft on their standard vehicle. When Forge UK ran our CAT backed performance exhaust development vehicle on the dyno with this intake it reached figures of 296bhp and 310lb.ft!
Interestingly there has been lots of divided opinions about our intake requiring a heat shield. Testing took place with the bonnet shut and replicated wind speeds of around 70MPH. Intake temperatures were logged and monitored along with thermal images taken,. During this testing, we did not see the inlet pipe or intake temperatures rise; even after 4 hard pulls, the inlet temperatures stayed at a steady 30°C.
Why not add gold tape to the underside of the aluminum housing to further reflect any heat soak from the engine. The Gold tape comes on a 5 meter roll allowing you to apply it to the underside of your Forge Motorsport product.
