Product Description

3″ Diesel Trash Pump Rated for 325 GPM and 85 ft of Head

The Multiquip QP3TK is a 3-inch diesel centrifugal trash pump rated for 325 gallons per minute with a maximum head of 85 feet. It is used for high-flow dewatering where discharge distance, elevation change, or sustained pumping time is required.

The pump is powered by a 6.0 HP Kubota OC60-E4 diesel engine with electric start and EPA/CARB compliance. It is designed for water containing debris and solids up to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Typical Uses

The Multiquip QP3TK is commonly used when large volumes of water must be moved continuously and head pressure is a factor.

Applications include:

Construction site dewatering

Excavations and trenching

Flood water removal

Sewage bypass pumping (within rated solids limits)

Water transfer

Barge and marine cleaning

Mechanical Characteristics

Centrifugal pump design for continuous operation

Die-cast aluminum pump casing for faster priming

Large clean-out chamber for debris removal

Ductile iron impeller and volute for abrasion resistance

Silicon / carbon mechanical seal for durability

Shock-mounted pump assembly to reduce vibration

Dual discharge ports for hose routing flexibility

QP3TK Compared to Other Centrifugal Trash Pumps

The QP3TK is selected when higher head capability and sustained flow are required within the centrifugal trash pump category.

Higher maximum head (85 ft) than standard gasoline trash pumps

Higher pressure output for long discharge runs or elevation changes

Diesel engine suited for extended duty cycles and fuel efficiency

Dual 3″ discharge ports for flexible hose configurations

Designed for continuous pumping of debris-laden water up to 1.5″ solids

This makes the Multiquip QP3TK Centrifugal Trash Pumps appropriate for applications where flow distance, lift, and run time exceed the capabilities of smaller or lower-head centrifugal trash pumps.

Application Limits

This pump is not intended for:

Dry-run operation

Solids larger than 1.5″

Thick sludge or viscous slurry

Lightweight portable use

Applications requiring self-priming under air exposure

Correct pump selection is required to maintain performance and service life.

FAQs

What type of pump is the QP3TK?

A diesel-powered centrifugal trash pump.

How much water can it move?

Up to 325 GPM, depending on conditions.

What is the maximum head?

85 feet.

What size solids can it pass?

Up to 1.5″ spherical solids.

Is it suitable for sewage bypass work?

Yes, when solids remain within the rated limit.

Does it include a wheel kit?

No. A wheel kit is available separately (UWKA).

Do centrifugal trash pumps need to be primed before use?

Yes. A centrifugal trash pump must be primed with water before operation. Proper priming allows the pump to generate suction and maintain consistent flow during dewatering or water transfer.
