The SJE Rhombus PumpMaster® WPS Wide-Angle Float Switch is a high-performance, non-mercury control solution engineered for direct operation of sump, effluent, or sewage pumps in drinking water and wastewater systems. Backed by NSF/ANSI 61 certification, it’s safe for potable water use, making it ideal for cisterns, water tanks, and well systems.
With a rugged wide-angle float design and a single pole, double throw (SPDT) internal switch, this float can be wired for either normally open or normally closed operation, depending on whether you're activating a pump during rising or falling water levels. The SJE PumpMaster WPS float switch can be wired to work in either normally open or normally closed applications:
Normally Open Models (High Level): The control switch turns on (closes) when the float tips slightly above horizontal, signaling a high level, and turns off (opens) when the float drops slightly below horizontal.
Normally Closed Models (Low Level): The control switch turns on (closes) when the float tips slightly below horizontal, signaling a low level, and turns off (opens) when the float tips slightly above horizontal.
