Vintage Singer bentwood case keyhole escutcheon in nickel. This little ring is often missing, it protects the sides of the keyhole from damage and gives a finished look. It is held in place through tension, but if you find it fits loosely you may decide to apply a drop of adhesive (a small drop of clear silicone or similar product on the inner ring works well).
