This mid-century modern designed lava jug by Carstens Tönnieshof features beautiful coloration. Known as ‘“Sand and Sea” featuring a stunning blue and turquoise glaze with some highlighted geometric relief in ombre and brown.
The pottery style is called Fat Lava and is signed W. Germ. 74-21 with identifying symbol of twin house mark with the letter “C” identifying the ceramicist Carstens Tönnieshof ( 1945-1984).
